Why do you add coconut oil to your candles?
We add a very small amount of organic, unrefined, coconut oil to all of our beeswax candles to help provide a slower burn time and also enhance the scent of the pure essential oils. Beeswax has a higher melting point so this helps enhance burn efficiency and fill the room with the aroma of the essential oils.
Why does my candle have imperfections?
Due to the nature of beeswax and handmade production of our candles it can be very challenging to always produce a perfect candle. However, once you light your beeswax candle the wax will level and burn perfectly. Just like us, these candles are made with love and each one may be a little different :)
How much coconut oil do you add to the candles?
We add a very small amount per candle. You can tell the amount is low due to the natural yellow hue of the beeswax. We can promise that we will not compromise the integrity of the benefits of the beeswax or add more coconut oil than needed to simply reduce the cost of the product.

Is the beeswax you source organic?
The beeswax we utilize is sourced from local farmers and isn't technically labeled "organic". However, we ensure the bees are treated ethically and that each of the farms we source from do not use or allow pesticides, GMO’s, or any glyphosate by products on their farms. United States laws do not allow beekeepers to claim beeswax as "organic". USDA regulations state that because honey bees travel 2-3 miles from their hive, EVERYTHING within their range has to be organic, which is impossible in the USA. However, wax coming from foreign sources can make the claim (no verification needed) and be labeled as "organic". We choose to source from local farmers and beekeepers and by doing so we are further supporting healthy bee population.

Do you use organic essential oils?
The essential oils we use are sourced organically when possible. We utilize pure essential oils that are third party tested to ensure no adulteration has occurred. We invest in quality essential oils so we know exactly what is going into each product at Grey & Co. Collective and into your home.

How long will each candle burn?
Your burn time will depend on the size of the candle and proper candle care. For approximate burn times you can visit our product pages for more information.
Why did you choose to use beeswax?
Beeswax is a powerhouse of benefits. One of our favorites is its ability to create negative ions to bind with toxins which helps purify and freshen the air.
Can the candle votives be reused?
Yes! Our candle votives can be repurposed for various things around the home. To remove the remaining beeswax, carefully heat the wax until melted and wipe clean. Give the wick a good pull to remove from the votive. Both votives can then be hand washed with warm water and soap.
Is it normal for the color of the beeswax to vary from candle to candle?
Yes! Since we are sourcing the beeswax straight from the source it is normal for the color of the wax to vary, especially based on time of year and harvesting. We do not use or allow bleached beeswax, which is white in color and provides more color consistency. We feel the natural beauty of the wax and it's powerhouse properties are important to embrace.
